Der Verein der Mansfelder Bergwerksbahn nimmt die Hettstedter Bleih\u00fctte in Besitz. Das ehemals kontaminierte Gel\u00e4nde soll in naher Zukunft Ausflugsziel f\u00fcr Freunde der Museumsbahn sein. Sie werden dann auf der Strecke zwischen Benndorf und Hettstedt nicht mehr am Eduardschacht aussteigen m\u00fcssen, sondern k\u00f6nnen die Fahrt bis zu dem Endpunkt genie\u00dfen, der bislang f\u00fcr Personen tabu war, wie Vereinsvorsitzender Thomas Fischer der MZ sagte.<br \/>Voraussetzung daf\u00fcr sind die jetzt zu Ende gebrachten Sanierungsma\u00dfnahmen auf dem Bleih\u00fcttengel\u00e4nde. Dabei wurde nicht nur der mit Schwermetallen belastete Erdboden ausgetauscht, sondern es wurde auch an den Gleisen der Bergwerksbahn gearbeitet. Unter anderem ist der ebenfalls kontaminierte Schotter komplett erneuert worden.
