Nach achtj\u00e4hrigem Einsatz vor den Museumsz\u00fcgen l\u00e4uft am 05.06.2008 ihre Frist ab und es steht die notwendige Hauptuntersuchung an. Mit der Verabschiedung von 99 582 wird f\u00fcr viele Monate nur noch die Lok 99 516 zum Einsatz kommen und das R\u00fcckgrad des Museumsbahnbetriebes bilden.<br \/>Aus Kostengr\u00fcnden strebt der Verein an, die Hauptuntersuchung wie 1994 &#038; 2000 weitestgehend selbst durchzuf\u00fchren. Da die HU trotzdem noch enorme Kosten verursacht startet die Museumsbahn eine neue Spendenaktion \u201eRohre f\u00fcr 99 582\u201c.<br \/>Zum diesj\u00e4hrigen Bahnhofsfest der Museumsbahn Sch\u00f6nheide am 24.\/25. Mai trafen mit dem historischen Zittauer Triebwagen VT 137 322 (Baujahr 1938), dem zweiachsigen Wilsdruffer Zugf\u00fchrerwagen 1441K (Baujahr 1901) und der \u00e4ltesten Dampflok der Gattung IV K &#8211; 99 516 (Baujahr 1892) drei ganz besondere Zeitzeugen s\u00e4chsischer Schmalspurgeschichte aufeinander. Zugleich wurde der doppelte Streckengeburtstag \u201c115 Jahre Saupersdorf \u2013 Sch\u00f6nheide Mitte \u2013 Sch\u00f6nheide S\u00fcd\u201d und \u201c111 Jahre Sch\u00f6nheide S\u00fcd \u2013 Carlsfeld\u201d mit dem II. WCd-Festival gefeiert. Dabei traten die Museumsbahn Sch\u00f6nheide und der F\u00f6rderverein Historische Wests\u00e4chsische Eisenbahnen e.V. (FHWE) zum zweiten Mal als Veranstalter-Team auf und hatten mit Unterst\u00fctzung der S\u00e4chsisch-Oberlausitzer Eisenbahngesellschaft (SOEG) ein umfangreiches Programm in und um Sch\u00f6nheide auf die Beine gestellt.<br \/>Als besondere \u00dcberraschung zum Bahnhofsfest erhielt Anfang Mai der Traglastenwagen 970-571 eine neue Lackierung. Er verf\u00fcgt als einziger Personenwagen \u00fcber eine Druckluftbremse und diente so als Beiwagen f\u00fcr den Zittauer Triebwagen.
