Was zun\u00e4chst aussichtslos erschien, wurde nun Wirklichkeit. In den letzten Wochen gelangten mehrere 1000-mm-Fahrzeuge nach Georgenthal.<br \/>Den Anfang machte am 18.02.2008 der Wagenkasten des ehemaligen Gw 99-61-14 aus Trebnitz bei Gera. Dank des Hinweis eines Hobbyfreundes konnte er in letzter Minute gerettet werden. Damit ist es gelungen, den letzten erhaltenen gedeckten Schmalspurwagen, welcher in der ostpreu\u00dfischen Waggonfabrik L. Steinfurt in K\u00f6nigsberg gebaut wurde, vor der Zerlegung zu bewahren.<br \/>Aus dem Bestand der Harzer Schmalspurbahnen konnte der Verein im Februar vier Wagen k\u00e4uflich erwerben. Die HSB hatte im Jahr 2007 aus dem Bestand nicht betriebsf\u00e4higer Fahrzeugpark verschiedene Wagen zum Kauf angeboten.<br \/>Darunter der viele Jahre in Wernigerode Westerntor abgestellte 904-101, urspr\u00fcnglich KPEV\/DRG Erfurt 386 von Eisfeld. Weiterhin wurden der Rollwagen 99-20-37 (bereits 2004 gekauft) und die beiden O-Wagen 99-01-81 und 99-01-95 erworben. Letztere sollen als Geraer Wagen wieder neu aufgebaut werden.<br \/>All diese Fahrzeuge sowie die sich in verschiedenen Aufarbeitungsstadien befindlichen Lokomotiven 99 7201, 199 003 und die V10C des Th\u00fcringischen Schmalspurmuseum k\u00f6nnen nach Absprache oder zum Hoffest am 8.
