Mehrere Monate anstrengender Arbeit liegen hinter den haupt- und ehrenamtlichen Mitarbeitern der Waldeisenbahn Muskau in Wei\u00dfwasser. Galt es doch, die Lokomotiven, Wagen und Gleise auf \u201eHerz und Nieren\u201c zu pr\u00fcfen und f\u00fcr die neue Saison auf Vordermann zu bringen. Zahlreiche Gesetze und Vorschriften kommen auch bei einer solchen Schmalspurbahn zur Anwendung. Selbst bei der maximal zul\u00e4ssigen Geschwindigkeit von 20 km\/h sind hohe Sicherheitsanforderungen zu erf\u00fcllen. Zum Abschluss dieser Arbeiten wird dann eine \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung des gesamten Bahnbetriebes durch die entsprechend zust\u00e4ndige Aufsichtsbeh\u00f6rde, die Landeseisenbahnaufsicht des Freistaates Sachsen, durchgef\u00fchrt. Erst danach d\u00fcrfen die historischen Z\u00fcge wieder auf Reise gehen.<\/p>\n<p>Nach dem Abschluss aller Vorbereitungsarbeiten wird am Karfreitag, dem 21.03.2008 09.45 Uhr der Schaffner zur Abfahrt des ersten Zuges der Saison 2008 seine gr\u00fcne Kelle heben. Bis zum Ostermontag verkehren dann alle Z\u00fcge zwischen der Zentralen Abfahrt in Wei\u00dfwasser Teichstra\u00dfe und den beiden Streckenendpunkten in den Parkanlagen von Kromlau und Bad Muskau mit originalen Dampflokomotiven. Die \u00e4lteste stammt sogar aus dem Jahr 1912! <\/p>\n<p>Doch auch in Wei\u00dfwasser wird viel zu erleben sein. Der Museumsbahnhof \u201eAnlage Mitte\u201c in der Teichstra\u00dfe wird seine Pforten an allen 4 Fahrtagen ge\u00f6ffnet haben. Hier l\u00e4dt eine Ausstellung von etwa 20 historischen Lokomotiven, zahlreiche Wagen und Schautafeln mit Bildern aus der \u00fcber 100j\u00e4hrigen Geschichte der Waldeisenbahn zum Verweilen ein.
