Mai 2008 findet das Eisenbahn-Ereignis entlang der ehemaligen Schmalspurstrecke Wilkau-Ha\u00dflau \u2013 Carlsfeld im Jahr 2008 statt: Das II. WCd-Schmalspurbahn-Festival. Diese Veranstaltung wird erneut als Gemeinschaftsaktion der Museumsbahn Sch\u00f6nheide und des FHWE durchgef\u00fchrt \u2013 dieses Jahr mit freundlicher Unterst\u00fctzung der S\u00e4chsisch-Oberlausitzer Eisenbahngesellschaft mbH (SOEG), der Betreiberin der Zittauer Schmalspurbahn.<br \/>Die wesentlichen Eckpunkte des Programms zum II. WCd-Festival sind: Als Gastfahrzeug kommt der Zittauer Schmalspurtriebwagen VT 137 322 bei der Museumsbahn zwischen St\u00fctzengr\u00fcn-Neulehn und Sch\u00f6nheide Mitte zum Einsatz. Zusammen mit dem von 99 516 bef\u00f6rderten Dampfzug ergibt sich hier ein Sonderfahrplan, der zirka alle Dreiviertelstunde eine Zugfahrt pro Richtung bietet. Drei Mal am Tag besteht in Sch\u00f6nheide Mitte Anschluss an eine Sonderbuslinie nach Sch\u00f6nheide S\u00fcd. Dabei gelangen abermals historische Omnibusse zum Einsatz.<br \/>In Sch\u00f6nheide S\u00fcd (Wilzschhaus) gibt es ebenfalls wieder Schmalspurdampf zu erleben. Hier f\u00e4hrt heuer die IV K 99 582 der Museumsbahn Sch\u00f6nheide, die einerseits f\u00fcr F\u00fchrerstandsmitfahrten zur Verf\u00fcgung steht und andererseits wieder Schau-Rollwagenverladungen durchf\u00fchren wird. An die Sonderbusse aus Sch\u00f6nheide Mitte besteht in Sch\u00f6nheide S\u00fcd au\u00dferdem Anschluss an den regelspurigen \u201eWernesgr\u00fcner Schienen-Express\u201c, der anl\u00e4sslich des II. WCd-Festivals nach Tannenbergsthal unterwegs ist (Motor-Draisinenfahrten \u201eoben offen\u201c). Dar\u00fcber hinaus bietet der Erlebnisbahnhof Sch\u00f6nheide S\u00fcd viele weitere Programmpunkte.
