An diesem Tag absolvierte Herr Dr. Christoph Schink aus K\u00f6ln als 700. Teilnehmer den Lehrgang zum \u201eEhrenlokf\u00fchrer\u201c bei der HSB. Nach bestandener Abschlusspr\u00fcfung gratulierte HSB-Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer Matthias Wagener dem 40-j\u00e4hrigen Eisenbahnfan pers\u00f6nlich und \u00fcberreichte im die Ehrenlokf\u00fchrer-Urkunde. Die elft\u00e4gige Hobby-Ausbildung, welche die HSB mittlerweile seit 1993 durchgef\u00fchrt, bietet Eisenbahn- und Technik-Begeisterten die M\u00f6glichkeit, sich ihren Kindheitstraum im Harz zu erf\u00fcllen. Jedes Jahr werden den \u201eFahrsch\u00fclern\u201c in Theorie und Praxis fundierte Kenntnisse \u00fcber die Bedienung und den Betrieb von Dampflokomotiven der Baureihe 99 vermittelt. Und die fahren t\u00e4glich auf dem insgesamt 140 km umfassenden Streckennetz der Harzer Schmalspurbahnen. Anspruchsvolle Fahrtrouten und das heute seltene Flair eines authentischen Dampflokbetriebes machen unter Anleitung eines Ausbildungslokf\u00fchrers den besonderen Reiz f\u00fcr die Lehrgangsteilnehmer aus. Einzige Voraussetzungen f\u00fcr die Hobby-Ausbildung sind ein Mindestalter von 18 Jahren und der Abschluss einer Haftpflichtversicherung. Dabei ist der Lehrgang durchaus keine reine M\u00e4nnerdom\u00e4ne. Auch Frauen haben bereits ihre Ehrenlokf\u00fchrer- Urkunde bei der HSB erhalten. Aufgrund der gro\u00dfen Begeisterung der Kursteilnehmer und der regen Nachfrage nach Ausbildungsterminen werden die Harzer Schmalspurbahnen den Lehrgang auch in den kommenden Jahren fortf\u00fchren. Dar\u00fcber hinaus bietet die HSB auch weiterhin die M\u00f6glichkeit, die \u201eMaterie\u201c w\u00e4hrend eines dreit\u00e4gigen Dampflok-Schnupperkurses zun\u00e4chst erst einmal kennenzulernen oder den F\u00fchrerstand einer Dampflokomotive im Rahmen einer Mitfahrt zu erleben.
