Da die Kassen der Inselgemeinde klamm sind stehen alle Bereiche auf dem Pr\u00fcfstand.<br \/>Um Kosten zu sparen denkt die Schiffahrt l\u00e4ngerfristig an die Aufgabe des G\u00fcterverkehrs auf der Inselbahn und an die vollst\u00e4ndige Umstellung auf rollende Ladung. Dadurch kann das Umschlagspersonal eingespart werden und die G\u00fcter sind witterungsgesch\u00fctzt unterwegs. Demn\u00e4chst l\u00e4sst die Inselschiffahrt zwei eigene Lkw-Anh\u00e4nger bauen um das neue Frachtkonzept zu testen. Ein Zeitpunkt f\u00fcr die Umstellung wird erst nach Abschluss der Testphase festgelegt.
