Maike W\u00fcrdig hatte hier viel zu tun, denn ihr oblag die Organisation des Kinderfestes, das allj\u00e4hrlich den Nachwuchs mit historischer Eisenbahntechnik vertraut macht. Maike ist die Tochter von Bahnhofsvorsteher Helmut Kommans, der ausnahmsweise mal nicht beim Kinderfest dabei war. Die junge Frau koordinierte die Aktivit\u00e4ten f\u00fcr die Kids. Schminkstand und H\u00fcpfburg Am Sonntag waren aber weitere zwei Dutzend \u201eDampfross-Freunde\u201c eingebunden, die irgendwo auf dem weitl\u00e4ufigen Gel\u00e4nde der<span class=\"hashtag\"> #<a href=\"https:\/\/archiv.schmalspurbahn.de?s=%23Museumsbahn\">Museumsbahn<\/a><\/span> in Gangelt-Schierwaldenrath werkelten und halfen. Der erste Zug machte sich um 10.30 Uhr mit f\u00fcnf Personen-, zwei Buffet- und einem Gep\u00e4ckwagen auf den Weg in Richtung Gillrath. Lokf\u00fchrer Daniel Dickmann und Heizer Sebastian Schulz hatten das Ziel fest im Auge. Dort angekommen, warteten schon jede Menge Familien auf das heranschnaubende Dampfross. W\u00e4hrenddessen wurde den Kids rund um den Bahnhof Schierwaldenrath schon einiges zur Unterhaltung geboten.
