Die Bergstrecke der Ybbstalbahn wird um zehn Kilometer erweitert. Bis zur Saisoner\u00f6ffnung werden 1.000 alte Holzwschwellen gegen Stahlschwellen getauscht. Kostenpunkt: drei Millionen Euro.<br \/>\nVerl\u00e4ngerung der Strecke soll G\u00e4ste anlocken<\/p>\n<p>Ab siebenten Juli kann man mit dem \u00d6tscherland-Express jeweils Samstags und Sonntags von Kienberg-Gaming bis nach G\u00f6stling an der Ybbs fahren. Die Verl\u00e4ngerung der Strecke soll mehr Fahrg\u00e4ste anlocken. Auch seitens des Landes glaubt man an das touristische Potential der Strecke und hofft, dass die Sanierungsma\u00dfnahme den Erfolg steigert.<\/p>\n<p>Schon jetzt ist die Bergstrecke spektakul\u00e4r: Der \u00d6tscherland-Express \u00fcberwindet 311 H\u00f6henmeter.
