Ziel des Fahrplanheftes ist, Besucher f\u00fcr die Brohltalbahn, n\u00e4mlich den Vulkan-Expre\u00df, und gleicherma\u00dfen auch f\u00fcr die herrliche Vulkan-Landschaft am Mittelrhein zu gewinnen. Der Fahrplan wurde als \u00fcberregionales Werbe- und Informationsmedium auch dieses Jahr wiederum sehr gut nachgefragt.<br \/>Der Prospekt erscheint wieder mit einer Auflage von 135.000 Exemplaren und wird haupts\u00e4chlich im Gro\u00dfraum Frankfurt &#8211; Rhein\/Ruhr gro\u00dffl\u00e4chig an Hotels und touristische Einrichtungen verteilt. Hierbei arbeiten wir auf Gegenseitigkeit und legen in unseren R\u00e4umen auch deren Prospekte aus. So kann eine ordentliche Zusammenarbeit der Tourismusbetriebe der gesamten Region gut funktionieren, wobei jeder am anderen partizipiert.<br \/>Der Prospekt beinhaltet zun\u00e4chst den Streckenplan mit Erl\u00e4uterungen zu den einzelnen Stationen. Sodann gibt es eine Fahrtbeschreibung, um die Leser auf eine Reise mit der Brohltalbahn durch eine au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Landschaft einzustimmen. Neben Hinweisen zu den monatlichen Wanderungen der Tourist-Information werden die kulinarischen Reisen mit dem Vulkan-Expre\u00df herausgehoben, zum Beispiel Fr\u00fch-K\u00f6lsch-Fahrt, Themenfahrten und einige Sommernachtsfahrten, aber auch im Oktober die mittlerweile legend\u00e4ren Gambrinusfahrten. Besonders dargestellt werden nat\u00fcrlich auch die bekannten Winter- und Nikolausfahrten.<br \/>Au\u00dferdem gibt es eine Darstellung zum Vulkanpark Brohltal\/Laacher See und der Burg Olbr\u00fcck, dem Wahrzeichen des Brohltals. Wanderm\u00f6glichkeiten am Streckenendpunkt im Bahnhof Engeln sowie die Anreisem\u00f6glichkeiten mit den Rheinschiffen in Brohl runden die touristische Darstellung ab. Auf neue Angebote wird besonders hingewiesen.<br \/>Ab sofort kann der erst im Jahre 2004 aufwendig sanierte historische Vulkan-Expre\u00df (als Einzelfahrzeug) f\u00fcr besondere Anl\u00e4sse gemietet werden. Ab 2006 f\u00e4hrt der Vulkan-Expre\u00df von Juni bis September zus\u00e4tzlich mittwochs und freitags. Erste gute Erfahrungen damit konnten wir letztes Jahr machen. Auch im November werden wir sonntags fahren.<br \/>Ausf\u00fchrliche Hinweise werden zur guten Erreichbarkeit der Brohltalbahn mit dem st\u00fcndlichen Nahverkehr der Deutschen Bahn im Rahmen des Rheinland-Pfalz-Taktes gegeben.<br \/>Weiterhin stellt sich der aktiv t\u00e4tige F\u00f6rderverein der Brohltalbahn, n\u00e4mlich die IBS (Interessen-gemeinschaft Brohltal-Schmalspureisenbahn) ausf\u00fchrlich vor. Mit deren t\u00e4tiger Hilfe kann die Brohltalbahn weiterbetrieben und erhalten werden.
