Ein paar Tage sp\u00e4ter, am 19.12. 2005 erschien der designierte Vorstand der Stiftung im Regierungspr\u00e4sidium Arnsberg, um die offizielle Anerkennungs-Urkunde durch Regierungspr\u00e4sident Helmut Diegel pers\u00f6nlich in Empfang zu nehmen.<br \/>Die Industrialisierung im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert ist ohne die Eisenbahn nicht denkbar. Als Teil der Industriekultur wird der Erhalt von historischen Fahrzeugen und Infrastrukturen heute von vielen Museen und Museumseisenbahnen wahrgenommen. Die meisten dieser Organisationen arbeiten fast ausschlie\u00dflich ehrenamtlich.<br \/>Die Stiftung Deutsche Eisenbahn soll im gro\u00dfen Rahmen privates Kapital sammeln und als F\u00f6rderstiftung die Aktivit\u00e4ten und Projekte anderer gemeinn\u00fctzigen K\u00f6rperschaften unterst\u00fctzen. Dabei sollen vorrangig Projekte unterst\u00fctzt werden, welche im Rahmen des Denkmalschutzes oder von Museumskonzeptionen die Darstellung historischen Eisenbahnverkehrs anschaulich erm\u00f6glichen und allen gemeinn\u00fctzigen K\u00f6rperschaften im Rahmen eines fl\u00e4chendeckenden Netzwerkes als Eisenbahninfrastruktur f\u00fcr die Durchf\u00fchrung historischen Eisenbahnverkehrs zur Verf\u00fcgung stehen.<br \/>Au\u00dferdem soll die Stiftung Deutsche Eisenbahn als Dachorganisation Hilfe bei der Errichtung und Verwaltung anderer gemeinn\u00fctziger Stiftungen unterst\u00fctzen, die sich speziellen Aufgaben im Bereich Verkehrs- und Industriegeschichte widmen und damit dessen Erhalt sichern.<br \/>Geleitet wird die Stiftung durch einen Vorstand, bestehend aus Rainer Balzer, Meinerzhagen, Uwe Breitmeier, Darmstadt, Heimo Echensperger, Geretsried Alle Stifter, zu denen bereits jetzt viele Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten aus dem Bereich der Eisenbahn z\u00e4hlen, finden sich im Kuratorium wieder und nehmen so an der Entwicklung der Stiftung teil.
