Der Aufstieg, von Meisdorf und Selkem\u00fchle herkommend, ist anstrengend, aber oben angekommen wird man belohnt mit einem pr\u00e4chtigen Ausblick \u00fcber die riesigen W\u00e4lder des Ostharzes. Trotz vieler Umbauten wahrte die Burg bis heute ihren mittelalterlichen Charakter. Beim Gang durch die Ausstellung gibt es Interessantes zu erfahren. Etwa, da\u00df die Grafen von der Asseburg-Falkenstein im 19. Jahrhundert den Titel eines preu\u00dfischen Hofj\u00e4germeister tragen durften und aus Berlin den preu\u00dfischen Baumeister Friedrich August St\u00fcler zu Rate zogen, um einige Innenr\u00e4ume im Stil der &#8222;Babelsberger&#8220; Neogotik auszugestalten. Noch nicht allzu lange kann derzeit in der winzigen Burgkapelle ein hochmittelalterliches Glasfenster bestaunt werden.<br \/>Nach dem Ritteressen in der Burggastst\u00e4tte schauen wir zu, wie sich Falken, Adler und andere Greifv\u00f6gel \u00fcber die Gem\u00e4uer erheben, Pavel Sihelsky ist einer der erfahrensten Falkner Mitteldeutschlands.
