Der Lokf\u00fchrer, der den Zug Richtung Zell am See gesteuert hatte, \u00fcberlebte den Unfall. Er lag aber mit schweren Verletzungen einige Tage im k\u00fcnstlichen Tiefschlaf. Laut Medienberichten war er am Tag des Ungl\u00fccks f\u00fcr einen anderen Kollegen eingesprungen.
