Professionell begr\u00fc\u00dft Aufsicht Thomas Seidler (12) die G\u00e4ste an der Wuhlheide 189. Die Berliner Parkeisenbahner im Alter von elf Jahren an k\u00f6nnen sich durchaus an den Kollegen von der gro\u00dfen Bahn messen lassen. Sie \u00fcberzeugen durch Freundlichkeit, Service und vor allem P\u00fcnktlichkeit. Der Fahrplan wird eingehalten, doch Zeit f\u00fcr eine nette Einladung bleibt: &#8222;M\u00f6chten Sie noch mit? Der n\u00e4chste Zug kommt in 15 Minuten.&#8220; Der Gast will zun\u00e4chst ein paar Souvenirs erstehen, und so fertigt Thomas den Zug ab, eilt zum Schrankenw\u00e4rterh\u00e4uschen zur\u00fcck. Heute, aber &#8222;das ist eine Ausnahme&#8220;, ist der junge Mann im Range eines Zugf\u00fchrers auch verantwortlich, die Schranke zu schlie\u00dfen und zu \u00f6ffnen. Kollege Daniel W\u00e4tzig (20), der nach neun Jahren bei der Parkeisenbahn mittlerweile Ausbilder ist, pr\u00fcft gerade den Nachwuchs aus dem Grundkurs. Bei Erfolg \u00fcbernehmen sie k\u00fcnftig die Schranke. 170 Parkeisenbahner im Alter von elf bis 40 Jahren halten zu 90 Prozent ehrenamtlich den Betrieb der Kinder- und Jugendeisenbahn aufrecht. Zehn M\u00e4dchen sind dabei.
