Der gesamte Au\u00dfenbereich wurde versch\u00f6nert, ein neuer Zugang geschaffen, der Bahnsteig neu gepflastert und mit einer Blindenleiteinrichtung ausgestattet.<br \/>F\u00fcr eine Investitionssumme von insgesamt ca. 75.000 EUR ist der gesamte Bahnhof versch\u00f6nert worden. Die Fassade und die Fenster des Bahnhofsgeb\u00e4udes bekamen einen neuen Anstrich, die Dachrinnen wurden ebenfalls mit erneuert. Auf einer L\u00e4nge von 150 Metern ist der jetzt erh\u00f6hte Bahnsteig mit einem neuen Rechteckpflaster und mit einer Blindenleiteinrichtung ausgestattet worden. Zur Besucherlenkung aus Richtung Bochumer Stra\u00dfe entstand auf einer L\u00e4nge von etwa 30 Metern ein neuer Zugang zum Gleisbereich des Bahnhofes. Die bereits vorhandene Bahnsteigbeleuchtung ist nun den modernen Erfordernissen und an die neue Zuwegung angepasst.<br \/>Matthias Wagener, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer der HSB sagte zur offiziellen Einweihung: \u201eDie Sch\u00fclerinnen und Sch\u00fcler der umliegenden Schulen, aber auch Berufst\u00e4tige und Touristen sollen von unserem versch\u00f6nerten Bahnhof profitieren. Dank gilt der Nahverkehrsservicegesellschaft Th\u00fcringen mbH f\u00fcr die F\u00f6rderung der Ma\u00dfnahme im Rahmen des Bahnhofsversch\u00f6nerungs-Programmes in H\u00f6he von etwa 35.000 \u20ac und der Stadt Nordhausen f\u00fcr die Begr\u00fcnung des Gel\u00e4ndes.
