Anno 1954 kaufte die Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG ihren ersten Triebwagen und setzte ihn auf der prominenten Strecke ein, die von Garmisch-Partenkirchen zu Deutschlands h\u00f6chstem Berg f\u00fchrt. Seit nunmehr 50 Jahren krallt sich der treue Gipfelst\u00fcrmer, der eine H\u00f6hendifferenz von fast 2300 Metern zu \u00fcberwinden hat, unerm\u00fcdlich \u00fcber die Zahnradbahn den Berg hinauf &#8211; von der Haltestelle Grainau bis nach oben braucht er eine Stunde.<br \/>Der Pionier unter den Triebwagen pr\u00e4sentiert sich nach wie vor im klassischen Mittelblau-cremewei\u00df und ist inzwischen zum Markenzeichen f\u00fcr die Region geworden.
