Anno 1954 kaufte die Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG ihren ersten Triebwagen und setzte ihn auf der prominenten Strecke ein, die von Garmisch-Partenkirchen zu Deutschlands h\u00f6chstem Berg f\u00fchrt. Seit nunmehr 50 Jahren krallt sich der treue Gipfelst\u00fcrmer, der eine H\u00f6hendifferenz von fast 2300 Metern zu \u00fcberwinden hat, unerm\u00fcdlich \u00fcber die Zahnradbahn den Berg hinauf &#8211; von der Haltestelle Grainau bis nach oben braucht er eine Stunde.<\/p>\n<p>Der Pionier unter den Triebwagen pr\u00e4sentiert sich nach wie vor im klassischen Mittelblau-cremewei\u00df und ist inzwischen zum Markenzeichen f\u00fcr die Region geworden. Er hat vier Antriebsmotoren mit je 114 Kilowatt Leistung, wiegt leer 23 Tonnen, bietet 84 Fahrg\u00e4sten Platz und kann noch einmal einen Personenwagen oder Material bis zu 13,5 Tonnen Gewicht vor sich herschieben. Wer sich mit ihm auf die Reise begibt, sitzt wie einst auf gepolsterten Rohrgestellen mit blauem Kunstlederbezug und entdeckt im schnellen Seilbahnzeitalter die Langsamkeit. Die Zahnradbahn ist eine von insgesamt vier, die heute in Deutschland noch betrieben werden. Der herrliche Ausblick auf den Eibsee, auf Ehrwald und die umliegende Bergwelt auf der einen Seite, das Tunnelerlebnis auf der anderen Seite und die M\u00f6glichkeit, die vielf\u00e4ltigen Eindr\u00fccke in Ruhe auf sich wirken zu lassen, machen die Fahrt zum Erlebnis.<\/p>\n<p>In diesen Genuss kamen die ersten Zugspitz-Ausfl\u00fcgler bereits im Jahr 1930, als die Zahnradbahn zum Gipfel er\u00f6ffnet wurde.
