Gut f\u00fcr Freaks und solche, die sich einen Kindheitstraum erf\u00fcllen wollen! Die M\u00fctze aufsetzen, einmal kurz die vom Ru\u00df leicht geschw\u00e4rzte Kleidung abklopfen und los geht&#8217;s im Lokf\u00fchrerstand zur Fahrt durch die freie Natur \u2013 wer diesen Traum schon lange hegte, kann ihn sich bei der Selfkantbahn erf\u00fcllen. Anreisetag ist jeweils der Freitag am sp\u00e4ten Nachmittag. Bei einem Begr\u00fc\u00dfungsgetr\u00e4nk im Buffetwagen am Bahnhof in Gangelt-Schierwaldenrath lernen die k\u00fcnftigen Ehrenlokf\u00fchrer ihre Ausbilder, die Mitarbeiter und Kollegen und nicht zuletzt auch das historisch wertvolle &#8222;Material&#8220; kennen, auf dem sie ihre dreit\u00e4gige Ausbildungszeit absolvieren. Ein Blick in das ins Gel\u00e4nde integrierte Kleinbahnmuseum zeigt, f\u00fcr welche Ger\u00e4te und Maschinen sie dann ihre Lokf\u00fchrerm\u00fctze erhalten. Nach einem kr\u00e4ftigen Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck in der Unterkunft folgt am Samstag die Vorbereitung. Dazu geh\u00f6rt neben der Vermittlung interessanter technischer Details auch der Vorbereitungsdienst an der Dampflok &#8211; denn das Ziel aller Hobbylokf\u00fchrer ist es, einmal unter Volldampf die Leistungsf\u00e4higkeit der Schmalspurfahrzeuge kennen zu lernen. Dann wird endlich das Ausbildungsger\u00e4t &#8222;Dampflok&#8220; angeheizt und in die Aufgaben des Lokf\u00fchrers eingewiesen. Nach dem rustikalen Lokf\u00fchrerschmaus am Mittag geht es weiter mit der ersten richtigen Fahrt. Zun\u00e4chst im Bahnhof, dann auf einer Strecke mit Waggons d\u00fcrfen die Teilnehmer, nat\u00fcrlich unter Anleitung fachkundigen Personals, alle einmal selbst die Lok f\u00fchren und bremsen. Zum Abschluss dieses aufregenden Tages gilt es dann noch, das f\u00fcr die Lok unbedingt notwendige &#8222;Ruhefeuer&#8220; anzulegen und am Abend unter den Kollegen die Erfahrungen auszutauschen und von den Gef\u00fchlen bei der Jungfernfahrt zu berichten. Am n\u00e4chsten Tag steht nicht nur der Erhalt des Ehrenlokf\u00fchrer-Zertifikats ins Haus. Denn nach dem Ruhefeuer darf mit der Lok auch rangiert und, abwechselnd mit den Kollegen, der fahrplanm\u00e4\u00dfige Dienst f\u00fcr die vielen Fahrg\u00e4ste der Selfkantbahn bestritten werden. Ein wirklich einzigartiges Erlebnis! F\u00fcr jeden Kurs sind mindestens sechs, maximal acht Teilnehmer vorgesehen, eigene Arbeitskleidung und festes Schuhwerk sind erforderlich. In diesem Wochenendarrangement sind neben dem Fahren der Dampflok unter fachm\u00e4nnischer Anleitung zwei \u00dcbernachtungen mit Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck, ein Begr\u00fc\u00dfungsgetr\u00e4nk, ein Mittag- und ein Abendessen, sowie die freie Fahrt w\u00e4hrend der Veranstaltung f\u00fcr den Teilnehmer und auf den sonnt\u00e4glichen Z\u00fcgen f\u00fcr bis zu f\u00fcnf Angeh\u00f6rige oder Freunde enthalten. Nat\u00fcrlich d\u00fcrfen auch die Lokf\u00fchrerm\u00fctze, die Urkunde, der Selfkantbahn-Museumsf\u00fchrer und die schriftlichen Unterlagen zur fachlichen Anleitung mit nach Hause genommen werden.
