Mit diesen Mitteln finanziert der Zweckverband die regelm\u00e4\u00dfigen Betriebsleistungen der D\u00f6llnitzbahn GmbH zwischen Oschatz, M\u00fcgeln und Glossen im Jahr 2014.  Ziel des Freistaates ist es, die s\u00e4chsischen Schmalspurbahnen nachhaltig zu sichern und gezielt die Vermarktung und Verkn\u00fcpfung mit Destinationen und touristischen Angeboten weiterzuentwickeln.  Verkehrsminister Sven Morlok (FDP): \u201eDie s\u00e4chsischen Schmalspurbahnen sind Zeitzeugen der Industriegeschichte und touristisches Highlight. Dies gilt es auch f\u00fcr die nachfolgenden Generationen zu bewahren und zu sichern. Die langfristige finanzielle Absicherung des Betriebs der Schmalspurbahnen ist ein klares Bekenntnis des Freistaates zur s\u00e4chsischen Dampfbahntradition.\u201c  Im aktuellen Haushalt sind f\u00fcr Investitionen in die Infrastruktur der Schmalspurbahnen f\u00fcr 2013 und 2014 insgesamt sechs Millionen Euro eingestellt. In der \u00d6PNV-Finanzierungsverordnung 2015-2020 sind zweckgebunden j\u00e4hrlich 8,74 Millionen Euro f\u00fcr den laufenden Betrieb der f\u00fcnf s\u00e4chsischen Schmalspurbahnen vorgesehen. Damit ist die Zukunft von D\u00f6llnitzbahn, Fichtelbergbahn, L\u00f6\u00dfnitzgrundbahn, Wei\u00dferitztalbahn und Zittauer Schmalspurbahn langfristig gesichert.
