Der Tagebaubetreiber Vattenfall und sein Nachfolger Leag machten es m&ouml;glich. In den vergangenen zwei Jahren bekam die historische Tonbahn teilweise eine neue Strecke.<br \/>\n\tWas lange w&auml;hrt, wird gut, hei&szlig;t ein Sprichwort. Im Falle der denkmalgesch&uuml;tzten einstigen Tonbahn von<span class=\"hashtag\"> #<a href=\"https:\/\/archiv.schmalspurbahn.de?s=%23Wei&szlig;wasser\">Wei&szlig;wasser<\/a><\/span> trifft das zu &#8211; auch wenn es zwischenzeitlich gar nicht so aussah. Schon vor zehn Jahren war klar, dass die Tonbahn einmal dem Tagebau Nochten weichen muss. Erste Planungen begannen, wie es danach mit der beliebten Strecke der<span class=\"hashtag\"> #<a href=\"https:\/\/archiv.schmalspurbahn.de?s=%23Waldeisenbahn\">Waldeisenbahn<\/a><\/span><span class=\"hashtag\"> #<a href=\"https:\/\/archiv.schmalspurbahn.de?s=%23Muskau\">Muskau<\/a><\/span> weitergehen soll. Als Ende 2013 die letzte Fahrt auf der Tonbahn stattfand, weil die Kohlebagger heranger&uuml;ckt waren, gab es noch immer keine L&ouml;sung f&uuml;r das Problem.<br \/>\n\tSchneise war L&ouml;sung f&uuml;r Problem\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tDie Strecke musste umverlegt werden, darin waren sich alle Beteiligten einig. Doch die Kosten daf&uuml;r mussten im Rahmen bleiben. Dann kam die Idee aus dem Hause des Bergbaubetreibers Vattenfall: Weil 2015 ein gro&szlig;er Kohlebagger vom Tagebau Nochten in den Tagebau Reichwalde transportiert werden sollte, musste eine gro&szlig;e Schneise durch den Wald geschlagen werden. Diese Schneise konnte genutzt werden, um die Bahntrasse draufzulegen. &quot;Das war die L&ouml;sung f&uuml;r unser Problem. Denn sonst h&auml;tte die Waldeisenbahn die Kosten f&uuml;r die Umverlegung nicht bezahlen k&ouml;nnen&quot;, sagt der Gesch&auml;ftsf&uuml;hrer der Waldeisenbahn Muskau, Heiko Lichnok. Am Ende hat den neuen Streckenabschnitt das Bergbauunternehmen bezahlt.<br \/>\n\tBaubeginn im November 2015\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tNachdem die Genehmigung vorlag und die Finanzierung gesichert war, waren alle Barrieren aus dem Weg ger&auml;umt. Der Bau der Strecke selbst ging z&uuml;gig vonstatten.
