Seit nunmehr 120 Jahren gilt die vom Rhein bei Brohl-L\u00fctzing nach Engeln f\u00fchrende Schmalspurbahn nicht nur f\u00fcr die Region als touristisches Aush\u00e4ngeschild, sondern auch f\u00fcr Gastronomie- und Beherbergungsbetriebe als wichtiges Zugpferd. F\u00fcr rund zehn Millionen Euro wurden auf der etwa 17 Kilometer langen Strecke die Gleise, die an Feldern, Wiesen und schroffen Felsw\u00e4nden vorbeif\u00fchren, saniert. Die Arbeiten an den Schienen sind jetzt abgeschlossen, Arbeiter, Bagger, Walzen und Kipplaster sind abgezogen: Der Vulkan-Express nimmt wieder Fahrt auf.<\/p>\n<p>Ohne die Hilfe des Landes w\u00e4re das allerdings nicht m\u00f6glich gewesen.
