Am Donnerstag, 12. August, gab Osnabr\u00fccks Oberb\u00fcrgermeister Wolfgang Griesert gemeinsam mit Detlef Gerdts vom Fachbereich Umwelt und Klimaschutz und J\u00f6rg Sprengelmeyer vom Feldbahn Piesberg Osnabr\u00fcck e.V. die Nordstrecke f\u00fcr den Fahrverkehr frei. \u201eDer Piesberg hat sich zu einem beliebten Ausflugsziel entwickelt, das ein Einzugsgebiet weit \u00fcber die Region heraus bis in die Niederlande hat. Bis zu 16.000 Besucher fahren jedes Jahr mit der Feldbahn\u201c, so Griesert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zu den beliebtesten Attraktionen geh\u00f6rt die alte F\u00f6rderbahn. Bis Anfang der 1960er Jahre waren die kleinen Bahnen auf \u00fcber 100 Kilometern im gesamten Steinbruch im Einsatz, bevor sie von Lastwagen verdr\u00e4ngt wurden. Seit 2005 k\u00fcmmert sich der Feldbahn-Verein um den Erhalt und den Wiederaufbau der alten Z\u00fcge und Schienen. Die offene Feldbahn ratterte bisher nur einen guten Kilometer am Piesberg vom Bahnhof gegen\u00fcber des Museums Industriekultur zum S\u00fcdstieg und zur\u00fcck. Mit der Erweiterung der bestehenden Strecke um 1.350 m wird auch der restaurierte St\u00fcveschacht und der Norden des Kultur- und Landschaftsparks Piesberg an das Museumsensemble angeschlossen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seit vielen Jahren bem\u00fcht sich der F\u00f6rderverein St\u00fcveschacht um den Erhalt des historischen Geb\u00e4udes. Mit 700.000 Euro Investitionen ist es jetzt gelungen, das verfallene Geb\u00e4ude wieder herzurichten und auf Tafeln die Geschichte des fr\u00fcheren Pumpenhauses darzustellen. \u201eWir freuen uns sehr, dass wir das geschafft haben\u201c, sagte Franz Heidemann, Vorsitzender des F\u00f6rdervereins.
