Vor drei Jahrzehnten \u00e4ndert sich das Bild erneut und wird an die Geschichte angekn\u00fcpft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ihr Pfeifen ist weithin h\u00f6rbar, ihr Stampfen und<span class=\"hashtag\"> #<a href=\"https:\/\/archiv.schmalspurbahn.de?s=%23Dampf\">Dampf<\/a><\/span> k\u00fcndigen sie an: Die<span class=\"hashtag\"> #<a href=\"https:\/\/archiv.schmalspurbahn.de?s=%23Brockenbahn\">Brockenbahn<\/a><\/span> mit ihren rund 700 PS starken Lokomotiven ist eines der touristischen Highlights im Harz mit besonderer Geschichte. Wer auf den 1141 Meter Brocken hinauf will, braucht eine Fahrkarte oder setzt auf eigene Muskelkraft und wandert oder radelt. F\u00fcr den Autoverkehr ist der h\u00f6chste Berg Norddeutschlands tabu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Was heute ganz selbstverst\u00e4ndlich erscheint, war es in der Zeit der deutsch-deutschen Teilung ganz und gar nicht. Der Brocken direkt an der innerdeutschen Grenze galt als strategisch wichtiger Punkt f\u00fcr den damaligen Ostblock. Er war zum milit\u00e4rischen<span class=\"hashtag\"> #<a href=\"https:\/\/archiv.schmalspurbahn.de?s=%23Sperrgebiet\">Sperrgebiet<\/a><\/span> erkl\u00e4rt worden: Von seinem Plateau aus sollte der westliche<span class=\"hashtag\"> #<a href=\"https:\/\/archiv.schmalspurbahn.de?s=%23Luftraum\">Luftraum<\/a><\/span> ausgesp\u00e4ht werden, es gab<span class=\"hashtag\"> #<a href=\"https:\/\/archiv.schmalspurbahn.de?s=%23Abh\u00f6ranlagen\">Abh\u00f6ranlagen<\/a><\/span> und<span class=\"hashtag\"> #<a href=\"https:\/\/archiv.schmalspurbahn.de?s=%23Richtfunksender.\">Richtfunksender.<\/a><\/span> F\u00fcr Zivilisten f\u00fchrte kein Weg auf den Berg.
