Wie das Schwester-Fahrzeug 187 011, das bereits im Dezember des vergangenen Jahres auch auf dem Stra\u00dfenwege wieder im Harz eintraf, wurde der 60 Jahre alte Triebwagen in den zur\u00fcckliegenden zwei Jahren bei der Fahrzeugwerke<span class=\"hashtag\"> #<a href=\"https:\/\/archiv.schmalspurbahn.de?s=%23Miraustra\u00dfe\">Miraustra\u00dfe<\/a><\/span> GmbH (<a href=\"https:\/\/archiv.schmalspurbahn.de\/?tag=fwm\">#FWM<\/a>) in Hennigsdorf bei Berlin einer<span class=\"hashtag\"> #<a href=\"https:\/\/archiv.schmalspurbahn.de?s=%23Generalreparatur\">Generalreparatur<\/a><\/span> unterzogen. Dabei erhielt auch er einen neuen MAN-Motor anstelle des bisherigen der Marke Deutz. Dar\u00fcber hinaus wurde das mechanische Getriebe durch ein hydraulisches Voith-Getriebe ersetzt.  <\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-F4jl31N4gsM\/VJQVD0XSbhI\/AAAAAAAAYPQ\/Nhk_-SD5uls\/s1600\/imm137_7A.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-F4jl31N4gsM\/VJQVD0XSbhI\/AAAAAAAAYPQ\/Nhk_-SD5uls\/s320\/imm137_7A.jpg\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p> Beide Triebwagen wurden im Jahre 1955 bei der Firma Talbot in Aachen urspr\u00fcnglich f\u00fcr die Kreis Altenaer Eisenbahn (KAE) im Sauerland gebaut und gelangten sp\u00e4ter zur Inselbahn der Nordseeinsel Langeoog. Von dort erwarb die HSB die Fahrzeuge mit einem weiteren Triebwagen, dem heutigen 187 012, im Jahre 1995, um sie nach erfolgten Anpassungsarbeiten auf schw\u00e4cher frequentierten Streckenabschnitten im Harzer Schmalspurnetz als kosteng\u00fcnstige Alternative zu den Dampfz\u00fcgen einzusetzen. Urspr\u00fcnglich nur als \u00dcberbr\u00fcckung bis zur 1999 vollzogenen Auslieferung der vier in Halberstadt gefertigten Neubau-Triebwagen 187 016 \u2013 187 019 gedacht, sind beide Triebwagen auch heute noch f\u00fcr den t\u00e4glichen Betrieb unverzichtbar und stehen nun im frischen Lack f\u00fcr die kommenden Jahre wieder einsatzf\u00e4hig zur Verf\u00fcgung. Neben der \u00e4u\u00dferen Erscheinung blieb dabei auch die historische Innenraumgestaltung weitestgehend erhalten.
