Diese wurde im Jahre 2006 mit einem internationalen Partnerschaftsvertrag in Wales offiziell besiegelt. Anl\u00e4sslich des Jubil\u00e4umsjahres &#8222;125 Jahre Schmalspurbahnen im Harz&#8220; besuchte nun der gesamte Vorstand der Company am vergangenen Wochenende den Harz. Das umfangreiche Informations- und Besuchsprogramm beinhaltete neben dem Kennenlernen der Harzer Schmalspurbahnen auch eine Vorstandssitzung der Company. Vorab begr\u00fc\u00dften Dr. Michael Ermrich, Landrat des Landkreises und Aufsichtsvorsitzende der HSB sowie Peter Gaffert, Oberb\u00fcrgermeister der Stadt Wernigerode und Mitglied des Aufsichtsrates der HSB die G\u00e4ste. Als Gastgeschenk \u00fcberreichte die Delegation aus Wales ein historisches, fast 100 Jahre altes Werbeplakat der Ffestiniog Railway an die HSB und sprach eine Einladung f\u00fcr einen Gegenbesuch aus. Die Festiniog Railway Company ist seit Jahren eine der f\u00fchrenden Touristenattraktionen in Wales und hat durch sukzessive Streckenerweiterungen noch weiter an Bedeutung gewonnen. Zur Gesellschaft geh\u00f6ren die auf einer Spurweite von 600 mm ausgef\u00fchrten Ffestiniog und Welsh Highland Railways. Das Gesamtnetz der traditionsreichen Museumsbahnen, welches heute wieder eine Streckenl\u00e4nge vom 62 km umfasst und mit Dampflokomotiven unterschiedlichster Baureihen betrieben wird, geh\u00f6rt zu den weltber\u00fchmten &#8222;Great little Trains of Wales&#8220;.
