Bauabschnitt Dippoldiswalde \u2013 Kipsdorf)&#8220; unterzeichnet. &#8222;Wir haben Wort gehalten und sichern jetzt den Wiederaufbau der gesamten Strecke. Das ist eine gute Nachricht f\u00fcr alle Schmalspurbahnfans \u2013 nicht nur in Sachsen. Die Wei\u00dferitztalbahn geh\u00f6rt zur Region. Sie leistet einen wichtigen Beitrag im Schienenpersonennahverkehr, und sie soll auf ganzer Strecke wieder zum Tourismus-Magnet werden&#8220;, so Staatsminister Morlok. Die Wei\u00dferitztalbahn war 2002 eine der am st\u00e4rksten vom Jahrhunderthochwasser betroffenen Verkehrsanlagen im Freistaat Sachsen. Fr\u00fchzeitig einigten sich Bund und Freistaat auf den Wiederaufbau. Der erste Bauabschnitt (Freital-Hainsberg bis Dippoldiswalde) konnte bereits 2008 in Betrieb genommen werden.
