Von Petra Pieper  Schlie\u00dflich konnten sich die s\u00fcdlicheren Nachbargemeinden schon seit 1856 der wirtschaftsf\u00f6rdernden Effekte der Hauptbahnstrecke Osnabr\u00fcck\u2013Rheine\u2013Amsterdam erfreuen. 1903 war es auch in Wersen so weit: Man hatte einen eigenen Bahnhof an der neuen Bahnlinie, die parallel von Osnabr\u00fcck-Eversburg zun\u00e4chst bis Recke, 1905 bis Rheine f\u00fchrte.
