Die Mitglieder hatten bereits vor 30 Jahren Interesse an dem alten Fahrzeug gezeigt. Juist &#8211; Im Jahr 1982 wurde auf Juist der Inselbahnbetrieb eingestellt, jetzt verlie\u00df \u2013 32 Jahre sp\u00e4ter \u2013 das letzte Fahrzeug der alten Bahn die Insel. Die alte Lok \u201eCarl\u201c wurde, in einzelne Komponenten zerlegt und auf drei Tieflader verteilt, auf die Reise in eine neue Zukunft geschickt. Neuer Eigent\u00fcmer ist der Verein Sauerl\u00e4nder Kleinbahn\/M\u00e4rkische Museumseisenbahn in Plettenberg. Das Ende der Inselbahnen auf Spiekeroog und Juist f\u00fchrte 1982 zur Gr\u00fcndung des Vereins, denn dieser sah damals eine letzte Gelegenheit, Schmalspurbahnen aus Nordrhein-Westfalen zu erhalten. Von dort kamen viele Fahrzeuge der Inselbahnen, so auch die Lok \u201eCarl\u201c. Bereits vor 30 Jahren hatten die Mitglieder Interesse bekundet, doch \u201eCarl\u201c sollte als Denkmal auf der Insel bleiben.
