Dabei kamen teilweise alle derzeit in Betrieb befindlichen Lokomotiven und Wagen der meterspurigen Kleinbahn zum Einsatz.<br \/>Die Hauptlast der Traktion trug dabei die Lok D5, eine Lok die Henschel f\u00fcr den Export in alle Welt entwickelt und gebaut hatte. Die D5 wurde im Jahre 1966 f\u00fcr die damalige Sierra Menera Erzbahn an der spanischen Mittelmeerk\u00fcste bei Valencia gebaut und gelangte mit ihren vier Schwesterlokomotiven sp\u00e4ter auf das nordspanische Meterspurnetz der FEVE. Schon im Jahre 1998 kam die wohl imposanteste deutsche Meterspurdiesellok zur Brohltalbahn. Nach umfangreichen Arbeiten ist die 1200 PS starke Lok seit dem Jahr 2008 auf der steigungsreichen Strecke im Einsatz.<br \/>Die Bilder zeigen die Lok am Bahnhof Brohl, im Bahnhof Burgbrohl und im verschneiten Endbahnhof Engeln auf 465 Meter Seeh\u00f6he, sowie den Besuch des Nikolaus.<br \/>Winterfahrten werden an bestimmten Sonntagen noch bis Ostern angeboten.
