August 2009 fanden wie jedes Jahr die Festtage des Dorfes Comandau statt, welche fuer den Riesenpilzeintopf und die Fahrten mit der Waldbahn bekannt sind. Zum Einsatz kamen die (ehemalige Boehler 9) 762.209 sowie eine Ns3h.<br \/>Heuer wurde die Fahrtstrecke erheblich verlaengert, erstmals seit 12 Jahren wurde der Streckenkilometer 3 der Zweigstrecke nach Holom erreicht. In diesem Bereich war die Strecke an vier Stellen durch Hochwasser unterbrochen. Vom Bahnhof Comandau weg, einschliesslich des Abschnittes der Stammstrecke Richtung Schraegaufzug bis zur Abzweigung Richtung Holom, ergibt sich bis zum Streckenkilometer 3 bereits eine Streckenlaenge von 5km.<br \/>Um mit dem Kessel bergwaerts fahren zu koennen, wurde fuer das Wenden der Lokomotiven auch das Gleisdreieck in Comandau wieder befahrbar gemacht. Am Streckenkilometer 3 wurde eine Weiche eingebaut, wodurch das Umsetzen des Zuges mittels &#8222;englischen Verschubes&#8220; moeglich ist. Das Gleis Richtung Holom liegt im grossen und ganzen noch bis zum km 4,5, aufgrund des Fehlen von etlichen Schienen ist die Befahrung aber nicht moeglich. Die Komplettierung und Instandsetzung ist geplant.
