Juli 2009 (14:30 Uhr) zum ersten Spatenstich geladen.<br \/>Eigentlich hat Sellin Ost schon ein Bahnhofsgeb\u00e4ude. Wie vielerorts stand es \u00fcber die Jahre leer und verkam. Der Landkreis R\u00fcgen entschied sich 1998, das Geb\u00e4ude einer anderen Nutzung zuzuf\u00fchren, und verkaufte es. Seitdem beherbergt es die Gastst\u00e4tte \u201eKleinbahnhof\u201c. Deren Eigent\u00fcmer, Janine Bachmann und Jirka Tr\u00f6ger, erwarten sich davon weitere Impulse bei der Gestaltung der Au\u00dfenanlagen, um den touristischen Anspr\u00fcchen des Ostseebades Sellin noch besser gerecht zu werden.<br \/>Der Fahrgastwechsel in Sellin hat in den letzten Jahren immer mehr zugenommen, so Matthias Kley, kaufm\u00e4nnischer Leiter der R\u00fcBB. Sellin ist nach Binz die Nr. 2 bei den Fahrgastzahlen. Die Anlagen entsprechen aber schon lange nicht mehr den aktuellen Bed\u00fcrfnissen. Es gibt keine Unterstell-m\u00f6glichkeiten, wenn es mal regnet, und auch keine Toiletten. Der Verkauf der Fahrkarten erfolgt aus einem alten G\u00fcterwagen heraus. Nach dem Willen der R\u00fcBB soll sich das nun grundlegend \u00e4ndern.<br \/>Der neue Betreiber des Rasenden Roland hat sich ausdr\u00fccklich nicht f\u00fcr ein modernes Geb\u00e4ude aus Stahl und Glas entschieden, sagt Reyk H\u00f6hne vom gleichnamigen Ingenieur-B\u00fcro in Bergen, welches die Projektierung \u00fcbernahm. Das neu zu errichtende Geb\u00e4ude orientiert sich an historischen Vorbildern der Region, wird ein Fachwerkbau mit Ziegeln und in seinen Formen und Konturen dem B\u00e4derstil des Ostseebades sowie dem angrenzenden alten Bahnhof gerecht.<br \/>Die Kosten f\u00fcr das Vorhaben belaufen sich auf etwa 125.000 EUR. Die Verantwortlichen bei der R\u00fcBB haben in Schwerin einen F\u00f6rderantrag gestellt, \u00fcber den noch nicht entschieden wurde. Solange will man beim Rasenden Roland aber nicht warten.
