Mai, von 10 bis 18 Uhr statt. Die Interessengemeinschaft Feldbahn veranstaltet auf ihrer Museumsfeldbahn, dicht am Bahnhof Eichenberg, den einzigen \u00f6ffentlichen Fahrtag in diesem Jahr.<br \/>Seit 20 Jahren entsteht auf einem Gel\u00e4nde eine kleine Museumsfeldbahn die \u201eEichenberger Waldbahn\u201c in 600 mm Spurweite. Die 19 Mitglieder haben dort eine \u00fcber 1000 Meter lange Strecke aufgebaut. Von den 14 Diesellokomotiven sind acht restaurierte Loks betriebsf\u00e4hig.<br \/>Viele Jahrzehnte waren Feldbahnen in der Bauindustrie, in der Landwirtschaft, in der Holzabfuhr, in Steinbr\u00fcchen und Ziegeleien sowie Fabrikh\u00f6fen als Transportmittel f\u00fcr Masseng\u00fcter nicht wegzudenken. Viele Eisenbahnstrecken und Autobahntrassen wurden mit Hilfe dieser kleinen Bahnen erbaut. Und als nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg viele St\u00e4dte in Schutt und Asche lagen, sorgten Feldbahnen f\u00fcr die Enttr\u00fcmmerung der St\u00e4dte und den Wiederaufbau von Stra\u00dfen und Bauwerken.<br \/>Mit der Entwicklung leistungsf\u00e4higer LKW in den 1960er Jahren verschwand diese Eisenbahngattung. Lediglich beim Torfabbau konnte sich die Feldbahn bis heute behaupten, da auch auf weniger tragf\u00e4higen Untergr\u00fcnden die Gleise aufgebaut werden k\u00f6nnen. Mittlerweile haben diese kleinen Bahnen aber auch sehr viele Liebhaber gefunden.<br \/>Folgende Projekte sind von den Eichenberger Waldbahnern in Planung: Die Deutz OME 117 soll fertiggestellt werden. Ein Trabantkombi soll als Schienenauto neu bzw. umgebaut werden.
