Bodo Finger, Pr\u00e4sident der Vereinigung der S\u00e4chsischen Wirtschaft e.V. (VSW) und stellvertretender Vorsitzender des Vereines zur F\u00f6rderung S\u00e4chsischer Schmalspurbahnen e.V. (VSSB) betonte in seiner Er\u00f6ffnungsrede das enorme Potenzial Sachsens auf diesem Gebiet. \u201eWenn alle Partner an einem Strang ziehen und wir es schaffen, attraktive Pakete zu schn\u00fcren, wird Sachsen f\u00fcr G\u00e4ste aus nah und fern ein noch anziehenderes Reiseziel.\u201c Finger betonte, dass der Tourismus gerade in den l\u00e4ndlichen Regionen zu den wichtigsten Wirtschaftsbereichen geh\u00f6re. \u201eMit unserer reizvollen Naturlandschaft, einem einzigartigen kulturellen Erbe und regionalen Spezialit\u00e4ten haben wir viel zu bieten. Um diesen Schatz zu heben, kann die neue Dampfbahn-Route \u201eS\u00e4chsische Schmalspurbahnen\u201c einen wichtigen Beitrag leisten\u201c, so Finger<br \/>Die Dampfbahn-Route, die zum Andampfen 2008 erstmals pr\u00e4sentiert wurde, konnte bereits 35 Partner gewinnen. Sachsenweit sind 55 Stationen in Planung, die ab dem Fr\u00fchjahr eingeweiht werden. \u201eDie vielen Akteure unter einem Dach zu b\u00fcndeln, ist eine Mammutaufgabe, die sich im Ergebnis aber lohnen wird. Wir sind dankbar, dass auch der Freistaat Sachsen das Projekt intensiv unterst\u00fctzt\u201c, sagte der VSSB-Vorsitzende Dr. Andreas Winkler.<br \/>2009 steht au\u00dferdem ganz im Zeichen Richard Hartmanns, der vor 200 Jahren geboren wurde und in Chemnitz die erste s\u00e4chsische Schmalspurdampflok baute. Ihm zu Ehren finden zahlreiche Veranstaltungen statt.<br \/>Symbolisches Geburtstagsgeschenk und gleichzeitig neuer Botschafter der Dampfbahn-Route \u201eS\u00e4chsische Schmalspurbahnen\u201c wird der Nachbau der ersten Schmalspurdampflok, der I K Nr. 54. \u201eDerzeit sind alle Teile im Dampflokwerk Meiningen zur Endmontage. Wir sind zuversichtlich, dass die Lok im Sommer das erste Mal auf Sachsens Gleisen dampfen kann\u201c, so Winkler.<br \/>Die I K Nr. 54 ist deutschlandweit die einzige aus Spenden finanzierte neu gebaute Lok. \u201eMehr als 80 Firmen der s\u00e4chsischen Metall- und Elektroindustrie haben sich mit verschiedenen Einzelteilen beteiligt. Geldspenden kommen aus aller Welt. Die I K ist ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt, das unser wirtschaftliches Know-how mit einem starken Bewusstsein f\u00fcr Industriegeschichte in ganz besonderer Weise verbindet\u201c, erl\u00e4uterte Winkler.<br \/>Vorgestellt wurden zudem die Veranstaltungsangebote in diesem Jahr. Besondere H\u00f6hepunkte sind Festivals auf der Pre\u00dfnitztalbahn (30.05.-02.06.), der D\u00f6llnitzbahn (12.-14.06.), der Wei\u00dferitztalbahn (18.\/19.07.), der Zittauer Schmalspurbahn (3. \u201eHistorik Mobil\u201c vom 31.07.-02.08.), zum 200.
