Den Grundstein daf\u00fcr legte heute Wirtschaftsminister Thomas Jurk. \u201eDie Waldeisenbahn ist mir eine Herzensangelegenheit. Seit 113 Jahren ist sie nun schon ein Anziehungspunkt f\u00fcr Besucher aus nah und fern. Mit dem neuen Besucherinformationszentrum wird das \u201aUrlaubsland\u2019 Oberlausitz eine weitere Attraktion f\u00fcr gro\u00dfe und kleine Leute erhalten.\u201c<br \/>Die Waldeisenbahn Bad Muskau ist eine touristische Museumsbahn aus dem Jahr 1895. Die Bahn verbindet Wei\u00dfwasser mit den Landschaftsparks in Kromlau und Bad Muskau und f\u00e4hrt ausschlie\u00dflich zu touristischen Zwecken.<br \/>Das Infozentrum wird zus\u00e4tzliche touristische Angebote schaffen und bestehende weiter ausbauen. So wird neben einer G\u00e4steinformation und verschiedenen Veranstaltungsr\u00e4umen auch eine Schauwerkstatt die G\u00e4ste anlocken. Hier k\u00f6nnen Besucher hautnah miterleben, wie traditionelle Techniken z. B. bei der Reparatur der Kleinbahn angewandt werden.<br \/>\u201eDenn ist die Bahn auch noch so klein, das Landschaftsgebiet Muskauer Faltenbogen kann man mit ihr auf einer Strecke von 20 Kilometern auf jeden Fall erkunden\u201c, erkl\u00e4rt Jurk.<br \/>Das Vorhaben f\u00f6rdert das S\u00e4chsische Staatsministerium f\u00fcr Wirtschaft und Arbeit mit rund 369.000 Euro aus GA-Infrastrukturmitteln. Die gesamten Investitionskosten belaufen sich auf ungef\u00e4hr 417.000 Euro.
