Die Strecke ist rund drei Kilometer lang und ging urspr\u00fcnglich bis zu dem im Gurktal gelegenen Ort Klein Gl\u00f6dnitz. Nach der Stillegung der Strecke durch die \u00d6BB, konnten Eisenbahnfreunde das Restst\u00fcck im Jahre 1974 \u00fcbernehmen. Seitdem wird auf der Strecke Museumsbetrieb durchgef\u00fchrt.<br \/>Standen dazu in der Anfangszeit kleine zweiachsige Werkbahndampflokomotiven zur Verf\u00fcgung, setzt man in j\u00fcngerer Zeit gr\u00f6\u00dfere Dampfloks mit \u00d6BB-Vergangenheit ein. Dabei handelt es sich um die Loks 898.01 (Henschel 25702\/1941, ex Heeresfeldbahn) und 699.101 (Franco Belge 2817\/1944, ex Heeresfeldbahn). Daneben sind zahlreiche Dieselloks vorhanden, darunter auch je eine Lok der Hersteller Gebus und Demag.<br \/>Die ganze Bahn wirkt sehr urt\u00fcmlich und unterscheidet sich dadurch von den anderen Schmalspurbahnen in \u00d6sterreich. Damit Fotografen und Fahrg\u00e4sten den Zug bei voller Fahrt erleben k\u00f6nnen, findet etwa in Streckenmitte eine Scheinanfahrt statt.
